Faculty Perceptions of Competency-based Education

Session Description
This interactive session will review the results of 2015 study conducted that was purposed to identify the qualifications of faculty members involved in the development of competency based education (CBE) programs. Through the study, faculty perception on training and teaching experience and its impact on their competence level to develop competency education learning components were identified through statistical analysis. Participants will observe a demonstration of CBE component development and be given sufficient opportunity to discuss the process and develop their own component.
