Getting our GLAM on: Lessons and Opportunities

Session Description
As publicly funded entities, Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (GLAM sector) continue to be challenged to maintain their relevance. Through their changing delivery models and the use of technology, they advance their engagement and offer some resources that are useful to educators.

Attendees of this session can expect the following:

Examine several examples of how the GLAM sector provides maker spaces, provide experiences that draw people to examine resources they offer, teaching audiences how to use them, and improve community connections by making resources and online learning available.

Learn at least two ways to use resources provided by museums and archives for student assignments.

Learn how GLAM open resources provide the opportunity to teach students how to use and cite Creative Common assets.
