Promoting Collaboration & Creativity

Session Description
Since 2002 my online course Holistic Approaches to Information Technology has served Masters of Education students, primarily teachers, for the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. These learners are located around the globe; some taking an online course for the first time. Constructivist strategies continue to be effective. Participants work using a variety of systems and may technically be beginner to super user. They complete individual, partner and team projects that invite mentoring and collaboration to enhance their creativity and problem solving skills. 12 weeks of content is covered in 6 weeks during summer sessions. For interactivity: I plan to model questions and answers and invite observations and requests to demonstrate with student work.
