Online Evidence-Based Practice in Health Care Course

Session Description
This presentation is of an online course designed as an alternative to a current face-to-face offering. The course covers the process of evidence-based practice (EBP) using the Iowa Model of EBP and is targeted for use by health care professionals. Current face-to-face delivery systems provide limitations due to time commitment and outer island access, and this online version would assist in bridging the gap for those individuals. The course is constructed in canvas and consists a twice monthly discussion forum, online lecture review, interactive lessons requiring learner participation, monthly quizzes, and the culmination of the course in a brief presentation on the EBP project selected by the participant.
